Infosys is seeking to hire a Linux Administrator. you will be a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options and makes recommendations. You will create detailed design, architecture and process artifacts and implement the deployment plan. You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Tampa, FL or Irving, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel within the US.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• At least 3 years of experience in Linux administration.
• Hands on experience on monitoring Production System, Application and Network Systems and address system generated alerts as required using combination of run books and independent discretion
• Should have experience on middleware like Weblogic, Apache, Tomcat etc.
• Hands exp on DevOps (Ansible, Jenkins, EKS etc)
• Must have work experience with ITIL processes and SLAs.
• Performs resolution activities such as script execution, restart services, bug fixes on various application, data, network and systems management and administration. Accountable for end to end health and performance of installed production infrastructure and related application components.
• Employ in-depth knowledge specific to the service being supported to troubleshoot and resolve customer impacting/potentially customer impacting issues.
• Assists in creation of scripts to automate repetitive network, systems and data management functions. Unix shell scripting and the ability to automate routine tasks;
• Escalates functionally and hierarchically as required and according to established SOPs.
• Experience documenting assigned project and task responsibilities. Providing procedures for all levels of support personnel.
• Hands on experience working with and support batch environments within a highly distributed environment.
• 24/7 on call support on a rotating schedule depending on the application criticality.
