EXAMPLES OF WORKED PERFORMED:
- Perform various network administration tasks such as: network and information security management, user account management, e-mail systems including e-mail web server, internet access, office systems and applications support
- Supports server, network and desktop hardware, software and applications
- Performs technology needs analysis
- Rolls out hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources
- Plans, implements, and supports the network and computing infrastructure plan
- Manages small to medium sized projects
- Assists with technology planning through ongoing research
- Maintains excellent communication skills with the IT Manager on all tasks and projects
- Creates and maintains good technical documentation
- Will provide emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Degree in computer science, MIS, or business administration supplemented with one or more courses or certifications in current technology preferred; two years and current experience as an administrator on a medium sized network of servers, desktop systems and communications devices using current technologies; demonstrates knowledge of windows server 2008, 2012, 2016, desktop products including MS Office and/or Office 365, Windows 7,10; setting up remote access for users via VPN or Citrix; demonstrates knowledge of Cisco Networking and Palo Alto Firewalls; demonstrates ability to administer a 500 to 1000 node network; ability to support network printers and multi-function printers; working knowledge of current communication devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies; orientation and training of new staff; ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously; facilitation and change management skills; highly developed verbal and management skills; ability to learn and comprehend new technologies with minimal management; ability to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers; ability to communicate effectively with team members; positive attitude when working with customers; knowledge of employment, merchandise, and safety procedures; must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations or 1 chargeable accident within the last three years.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
