Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM is looking for a Product Marketer for the Security Product Marketing Team. This role is currently a highly
visible individual contributor role that crosses all categories of security software products. The focus of this role is to identify and work collaboratively across product domains, platforms and campaigns to determine security intersections of target buyers, and articulate cross messaging and tactics based on objectives and key drivers. This is a strategic solution PMM role that will focus on creating and driving narratives that bring the security use cases to life. Including thought leadership, sales enablement, GEOs, digital / web, etc.
The initial focus for this role will ensure the security narrative is easy to understand and implemented across web, assets, and communications.
They will frame, create messaging/positioning that the bridges Hybrid Cloud and AI campaign use cases / entry points in creating positioning that clearly articulate the Security narrative with a strong call-to-action (CTA) toward products like Guardium and Verify. Results and analytically driven to determine key drivers and solutions that will impact results.
IBM protects organizations with advanced and integrated portfolio of solutions with an innovative approach to help business leaders and security. Practitioners advance their security programs no matter where they are in their Hybrid Cloud and AI journey. This role will pull the go-to-market business plan and strategy together that intersect IBM Hybrid Cloud and AI strategy.
Role And Responsibilities
- Must be able to take complex products such as watsonx, AI and articulate the value proposition for security SW products and the intersection as part of a greater IBM solution. Two examples include: Protecting Data or Trustworthy AI that can include Guardium but also paired with products like Storage or watsonx.governance respectively.
- Using security buyer expertise to creating compelling security use cases, entry points, and assets - this role is the voice of a security buyer.
- Using data to identify and work with ecosystem, geo leaders, product management, sales, and marketing to analyze key drivers of results and make recommendations for improvements.
- Work collaboratively toward best-in-class solutions and initiatives to achieve Mega KPIs and financial objectives.
- Responsible for leading cross-functional teams to impactful initiatives that affect revenue.
- Represent security across top accounts, sales (enablement & sales plays), and ecosystem in driving tactics.
- Lead through influence across product marketing, content, and corporate communications leadership to drive and coordinate overall security messaging for things like AWS, AI campaigns, etc.
- Identify the key IBM differentiators for top level messaging.
- Accountable to iterate and test, what is working, what is not, and recommendations for improvements.
- Work on identified strategies across the entire sales funnel from awareness to demand to enabling sales to win/revenue.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Must have experience in B2B Product marketing, within the technology, security and/or software industry; Must be experienced at storytelling, presentations and writing skills;
- Must have executive acumen with excellent communication skills;
- Must be able to collaborate and influence others such as marketing, sales, and product management;
- Must have an understanding of marketing performance drivers and associated leading and lagging indicators

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
