We’re looking for a self-motivated and organized Manager, Data & Integration Engineer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in AWS, deep expertise in PostgreSQL, and a strong understanding of the various ETL methods currently in use. Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus. The ideal candidate has used GitHub or equivalent code repository systems, understands servant leadership, can assist both junior and senior engineers, and is adept at understanding business needs to build better solutions.
Job Description Summary
This position serves as an expert technical and industry leader to management, clients, and development staff in leveraging data and information technology across all phases of major system and subsystem development. You will lead, mentor, and contribute to task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for research, prototype, and proof-of-concept IT activities. You’ll direct and participate in all aspects of development tasks, including data management, system, and business architecture, providing guidance to other tech leads and staff on complex assignments and mentoring them on new technologies.

Technical Duties:
- Develop digital architectures and solutions that are simple, scalable, maintainable, efficient, and adhere to data governance and best practices.
- Code, test, debug, and collectively own applications with our teams.
- Enhance existing applications and platforms to ensure production systems meet user needs.
- Collaborate with engineers and operations staff to develop and review technical specifications and documentation.
You Should Apply If You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Programming, or another technical field. Equivalent related field experience will be considered.
- 6+ years of work experience in a professional software development position.
- Demonstrated experience using data-focused languages like TypeScript, JavaScript, Python and/or Golang languages/frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience with advanced data structures and ETL/ELT technologies.
- Proven experience with low/no-code data and API integration platforms.
- Demonstrated experience with serverless and containerized technologies.
- Demonstrated awareness of microservice, serverless, and API software patterns.
- Solid experience in writing and tuning PostgreSQL, SQL, PL/pgSQL functions, procedures, and triggers.
- Experience with developing highly scalable, cloud-native applications in AWS not limited to AWS ECS, AWS Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora, CloudFormation, and CodePipeline.
- Comfortable with, and be able to thrive in, a fun, hardworking, ever-changing, and self-driven environment.
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills, self-motivation, and team collaboration.

AGILE, DEVOPS AND CLOUD REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with leading teams in creating and maintaining fully automated CI/CD pipelines for code deployment using industry standard toolchains.
- Ability to act as expert for automated testing strategies, including TDD and ATDD.
- Experience with identifying and tracking key metrics produced by the applications.
- Working knowledge of creating microservices and RESTful API’s, including understanding of custom headers, and best practices.
- Understands advanced concepts of containers (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery. Integrate all steps of DevSecOps into all development arenas, with intent of short-circuiting feedback loops to operational teams.
- Experience with Git and GitFlow philosophies.
Preferred Knowledge and Experience
- Ability to work across full-stack spectrums with modern client-side and server-side frameworks.
- Modern web stack experience, including both client and server-side technologies (full stack.)
- Thorough understanding of the HTTP/HTTPS and other web protocols.
- Leader in the developer community within CBG and performs demo, knowledge sharing sessions.

- Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during “core” work hours to meet the needs of our business.
