With the growth KCL is experiencing, we’re in need of a
Product Manager. You will be trusted with the growth and development of KCL’s Owned & Operated website and content management system.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with design, engineering, product and quality assurance team members to ensure alignment on product requirements, resolve any blockers, and deliver projects on time after it has been thoroughly tested.
- Execute roadmap items that contribute to KCL’s mission and KPIs in a meaningful way by working with cross functional teams and stakeholders at KCL to ideate, scope, document, prioritize, and deliver delightful features and products for our internal and external users.
- Write thorough product requirement documents and break down a project into actionable tickets for engineering and design
- Get to know KCL’s product offerings and data beyond a surface level in order to make informed product decisions and prioritizations
- Gain a deep understanding of our customers' and internal stakeholders' needs, use cases, and challenges, and leverage that insight to effectively prioritize, design, and develop innovative solutions
- Work closely with the data team to expand and maintain our data insights.
- Use tools such as Jira to keep our work organized and transparent to other teams and stakeholders alike.
- Ensure clear communication of project statuses and dependencies among teams and stakeholders to maintain transparency and alignment with deadlines
- Contribute positive changes to our team culture, workflow and processes.
About you:
- Product Experience: You have 3+ years of hands-on experience working as a product manager with a track record of taking a project from conception to completion.
- People Person: You approach people and products with empathy. You can read a room and tailor your project proposals to address stakeholders with different concerns. You assume positive intent when interacting with others.
- Business Savvy: You have a business mindset. You know how to make product decisions that make a meaningful impact on the bottom line.
- Accomplished Executor: You don’t sit back and wait for direction. When you see a need, you take the initiative to get things in motion. You are highly organized and reliable. You come up with solutions, collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders and drive towards a resolution.
- Strategic Mindset: You aren’t interested in going through a checklist each day and calling it quits. Sure details and mundane tasks come with the territory but you’re also a big picture, strategic thinker. You’re able to see potential risks and rewards and create innovative plans to meet them head-on
- Technical expertise: You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dig into a highly technical piece of documentation. You are naturally curious about new technology and keep up with industry trends. You are able to hold your own in highly technical discussions
- An Expert in Feedback: You understand the importance of giving and receiving thoughtful, timely, specific, and actionable feedback.
Physical Requirements
- Use of Fingers: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other team members accurately, loudly, or quickly
- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound
- Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
