Nature Of Work
Identify assigned companies’ operational risks and recommend strategies as to how best protect assets and minimize losses.
Examples Of Work Performed
- Gather and analyze insurance policy renewal information for submission to insurance brokers throughout the year.
- Investigate liability and auto claims and works closely with third party adjuster and/or insurance carrier to ensure efficient and timely claim processing.
- Analyze property claims and works with carrier for claims above deductible. Seeks recovery from third parties that cause damage to Company owned property.
- Evaluate accident trends and works with the Risk Management and other departments to reduce losses.
- Assist the Senior Director, Risk Management with insurance related issues and policy management.
- Track insurance certificates to ensure timely renewal with vendors.
- Determine company driver eligibility and communicate such with Human Resources and hiring department.
- Track vehicle and driver lists; communicate fleet changes to insurance broker.
- Process, track, and coordinate renewal and endorsement premium invoice payments, as well as audit payments/credits.
- Input all required insurance and claims information into RMIS and run reports as requested.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
- equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance, risk management and loss control principles.
- Ability to accomplish tasks accurately within tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and customer service skills required.
- Basic to intermediate skill in Word, Excel and email is required.
- General knowledge of claims handling.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- 1-2 years’ experience in general claims handling.
- 1-2 years’ experience in insurance management is highly preferred.
- Ranch or Energy experience a plus

Compensation
- Base hourly range $24-$26 per hour
- Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
