Job Title: Information Technology Support Specialist
Type of Role: Contract
Location: Morgan Hill, CA
Hourly Range: $40.00
Main responsibilities are:
Ensure network reliability by interfacing with internet service providers, troubleshooting server connection issues, etc.
Ensure operation of server-connected systems (Fishbowl, Quickbooks, etc)
Support IT tickets from users across North America
Interface with IT management in France to maintain security protocols.
Some duties will include daily, weekly and monthly as listed below:
Daily Tasks:
Review new and existing Helpdesk tickets.
Perform Helpdesk level 2 tickets.
Monitor VEEAM backups, Ubiquiti WiFi, and Office 365 suspicious logins.
Oversee infrastructure health via LibreNMS.
Review security camera motion events.
Stay updated on the latest security incidents and vulnerabilities.
Weekly Tasks:
Monitor Sophos antivirus, DUO, and FortiCloud logs.
Check WASABI storage and backup North American firewall configurations.
Monthly Tasks:
Check Active Directory for errors.
Test and apply Windows updates.
Manage monthly bills and renewals for IT services.
