A Senior Active Directory SME is responsible for providing expert guidance, support, and leadership related to Active Directory infrastructure and services within an organization. They play a crucial role in ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of Active Directory environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Architecture: Designing and implementing Active Directory architectures that align with organizational goals and best practices.
- Deployment and Configuration: Deploying, configuring, and maintaining Active Directory infrastructure components, including domain controllers, group policy objects (GPOs), and sites.
- User and Group Management: Managing user accounts, groups, and permissions to ensure proper access control.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving Active Directory-related issues, including performance problems, authentication failures, and security breaches.
- Security: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect Active Directory environments from threats.
- Migration: Planning and executing migrations to new Active Directory environments or versions.
- Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for Active Directory infrastructure and processes.
- Mentorship: Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Project Management: Leading or contributing to Active Directory-related projects.
Required Skills
