Position: Security Engineering Manager
Multiple Locations: San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles – hybrid 3x a week
Compensation: $275,000-$375,000 + RSUs + end of year bonus

Position: Security Engineering Manager
As the Security Engineering Manager, you will lead the Infrastructure Security and Detection & Response teams, guiding efforts to safeguard our systems and improve incident response capabilities. Your leadership will be central to reducing security risks through proactive strategies and effective response measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement goals, metrics, strategies, and policies for Infrastructure Security and Detection & Response.
- Mentor tech leadership, oversee the maturation of the Security Operations Center, and ensure operational efficiency.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of engineers, supporting their development and maximizing their impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
- Make technical decisions to reduce risks in our infrastructure and strengthen detection and response capabilities.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure security and incident response within a tech environment.
- 7+ years of managerial experience.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with a track record of building high-performance teams.
- Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication abilities.
- Expertise in network and system security principles, tools, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Practical experience with security tools like IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management.
- Deep knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills focused on achieving measurable outcomes.
