We are seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer for our fast-growing Central Ohio client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities:
- Lead architects and subject matter experts (SME) to provide a consensus-based enterprise solution that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with ever-changing business needs
- Own and operate cloud environments, CI pipelines, and ancillary systems, in partnership with other Engineering teams
- Work closely with software developers, production support, and information security to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms
- Design and implement automation through scripting and other techniques to improve operational efficiencies
- Monitor application performance and detect conditions affecting the health of IT cloud services in various cloud platforms
- Promote and cultivate ownership of design, execution, and deployment of product features
- Collaborate with senior leaders on strategic planning
- Mentor other developers throughout the development lifecycle
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience with cloud development and technologies
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies
- Experience with cloud-based software development tools and methodologies
- Ability to program in one or more backend-centric languages such as Python, PHP, Ruby, Java, Go, Scala
- Knowledge of modern software development life cycles including CI / CD
- Self-starter with the ability to lead a team
