Join our team as a Lead Security Architect, where you’ll be at the forefront of designing and implementing secure, cloud-enabled solutions for federal agencies. As the primary point of contact for security decisions, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the system’s security architecture, remediating vulnerabilities, and advancing DevSecOps maturity to meet the government’s evolving standards.
Your Impact
- Strategize and Architect Security Solutions: Lead the development of secure architecture solutions, implementing best practices for high-availability environments in cloud and containerized applications.
- Guide Security Remediation Efforts: Coordinate with stakeholders and proactively manage security vulnerabilities, ensuring comprehensive protection and compliance.
- Drive DevSecOps Excellence: Offer recommendations to elevate DevSecOps practices, ensuring efficient, streamlined security throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Act as the key security point-of-contact, working closely with other team members to align architecture with future state requirements.
- Enhance Cloud and Portal Security: Provide expert recommendations to strengthen the security of web applications, hosted environments, and cloud interfaces.
Primary Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture Development: Lead development of security solution architectures for complex programs (25%)
- Cloud Migration and Security: Design options for secure migration to containers and cloud environments (25%)
- Vulnerability Management: Coordinate remediation of security vulnerabilities and customer security requests (15%)
- Portal Security Consultation: Provide guidance for portal-based applications and related security (15%)
- Contractual Deliverables: Develop documentation in accordance with agency templates (10%)
- Estimations and Assessments: Deliver Impact Assessments and resource estimates (5%)
- DevSecOps Advisory: Recommend strategies for implementing advanced DevSecOps practices (5%)
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years developing security architectures in collaboration with diverse stakeholders for large, complex programs.
- 8+ years leading architect or developer teams, with strong customer communication skills.
- 5+ years designing cloud-based security solutions and containerized security architectures.
- 4+ years of experience securing applications on AWS GovCloud and with microservices.
- Proficiency in architecting solutions using Spring Boot and enhancing portal architectures.
- 4+ years implementing DevSecOps practices, working with Linux, and using configuration management tools like Git.
- 3+ years developing (V)ROM estimates.
- CISSP Certification Required
Preferred Skills
- Experience developing monitoring requirements and solutions, relational database technologies, CMMI Level 3, Agile Lean methodologies.
- Familiarity with Azure and Google Cloud solutions for government, WebMethods, ESB, API Gateways, Event Driven Architecture, Kafka, and Ping Identity.
