SeatGeek is looking for a security engineering professional to join our Security organization. As a Security Engineer, you’ll be involved in a mix of incident response, cloud security, security engineering, threat and bug hunting, and red teaming.
You'll be part of an engineering team developing a modern security program with a strong focus on automation, coupled with a collaborative approach to working with our engineering partners. You’ll be operating in a fast paced, agile environment, with a goal of making security built-in by default. As a member of our team, you will influence the security roadmap: maturing our threat detection and incident response and cloud security programs.
What You'll Do
- Engineer, implement, and enhance existing security controls to harden and increase visibility in our AWS environment
- Develop, scale, and maintain security tooling with a heavy emphasis on automation (we use Python!)
- Hold an active role in our incident response & on-call programs by identifying vulnerabilities, tuning signals, and creating new detections for critical systems
- Partner with teams from both our engineering and non-engineering orgs to influence security awareness and security best practices
- Participate in red team / blue team exercises
What You Have
- You’re graduating in Spring 2025
- Proficiency in two or more programming languages (Python, C#, Go) i.e you can code and perform code reviews
- Ability to think like an attacker when playing defense, using that mindset to further drive meaningful improvements for detection & response
- Experience contributing to the security community (public research, blogging, presentations, etc.)
- (Preferred) Regularly participate in CTF, bug bounty hunting, and hackathons (bonus points if you share your Bugcrowd/HackerOne/Devpost profiles)

The salary range for this role is $110,000-$130,000. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
