Job Description
We are looking for an SAP BASIS & Security Manager to join our growing team! In this role, you will lead and work as part of a larger team responsible for advising on architectural, technical, and business-impacting issues, as well as leading projects and day-to-day support of all SAP components. Some of your duties may include the execution of installations, patches, upgrades, system tuning, and production support as necessary. You will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and execution of SAP Basis policies, Security Policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of SAP systems in support of the SAP applications.
As an SAP BASIS & Security Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Manage Global Basis/Security leads and 3rd party onsite/offshore team on the performance, reliability, and availability of the SAP systems in alignment with industry standards
- Understanding of SAP High Availability or Disaster Recovery architecture, network, and virtual technologies (Firewall Setup, load-balancer, virtual machine etc.,)
- Deep experience in technical planning, implementation, configuration, and integration of SAP solutions
- Understanding of various SAP cloud solutions and integration scenarios of SAP systems with BTP, Ariba, SuccessFactors etc. (good to have)
- Manage with Technical/functional teams the client-instance and transport strategy for all SAP environments for implementations and projects as well as ongoing operations
- Responsible for the formulation and realization of performance goals as related to SAP systems
- Manage activities associated with SAP production control and coordination including planning, scheduling, input/output control, job setup, standards, etc.
- Establish and monitor escalation of problems
- Escalate SAP problems utilizing OSS problem notification and Remedy Helpdesk software
- Manage team on tunable parameters for SAP and OS systems and monitor performance parameters for their effectiveness
- Evaluate trend analysis to detect long term performance problems and prevent performance degradation
- Manage processes for the proper management of SAP including incident, change, and problem management
- Manage SAP client copies, system copies, imports / exports, and transports as needed.
- Manage project planning and execution for major activities such as software upgrades, software configuration changes and hardware upgrade or replacement.
- Develop plans and schedule the development, introduction, communication, and maintenance of the SAP systems architecture including the applications and infrastructure architectures and assures that this architecture is integrated with the application road maps and strategies
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or 8 – 10 years of equivalent related work experience
- Be able to operate in a fast-paced environment with laser focus on delivering results. Self-driven, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing multiple clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional projects
- Demonstrated experience in working with strategic partners at multiple levels to drive alignment and influence key decisions
- Experience in building and motivating high performance teams and foster an inclusive environment
- Ability to successfully prioritize initiatives and manage multiple competing priorities with ease
- Strong presentation skills to communicate complex concepts effectively
