Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Security Consultant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in security practices and a willingness to learn and adapt to emerging trends. This full-time role involves conducting comprehensive risk and vulnerability assessments, developing strategic security plans, and supporting various client-focused initiatives.
Conduct Comprehensive Risk and Vulnerability Assessments:
- Perform vulnerability and risk assessments across diverse sectors, including houses of worship, nonprofits, commercial properties, and educational institutions.
- Evaluate existing security policies, procedures, and physical security measures to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
- Prepare and present detailed reports outlining assessment findings, risks, vulnerabilities, and suggested mitigation strategies to clients.
Threat Assessment and Mitigation
- Identify and analyze potential threats and vulnerabilities affecting clients.
- Develop strategic guidance and remediation plans to address identified risks.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support recommended security measures.
Emergency Operations Planning:
- Assist clients in developing and enhancing their emergency operations plans.
- Design and deliver training sessions and tabletop exercises to prepare clients for various emergency scenarios.
Research and Analysis:
- Stay informed about emerging security trends and threats relevant to our clients.
- Conduct analytical research and produce whitepapers to support client awareness and organizational initiatives.
Security Program Development:
- Collaborate with clients to design and implement effective security programs.
- Advise on technology planning and risk management strategies to enhance organizational safety and security.
Support Organizational Initiatives:
- Contribute to the development and delivery of Kingswood's products and services, including the Worship Security Academy, Decision Decks safety and security scenario cards, and our podcasts "Risk Matters" and "Church Security Accelerator.”
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex information to diverse audiences effectively.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex security environments.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment, with a willingness to assist in various areas as needed.
- Comfortable presenting to live audiences, as well as in video and podcast recordings.
- Strong interest in AI and its potential to enhance company processes.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently out of state as required.
