Systems Administrator II
Are you a highly skilled and experienced IT Systems Administrator, looking to join a growing team? Looking for a role managing, maintaining, and securing the company’s IT systems and infrastructure? This Systems Administrator role will ensure that our systems operate securely, efficiently, and reliably to meet our business needs. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others and creating a positive user experience. This role is based out of Walker, MI.
Pay range and compensation package
The System Administrator can expect a starting compensation of around $60,000-75,000.00, depending on experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT administration, network engineering, or a related role.
- Expertise in Windows administration: Windows 10 & 11, Server 2022, Azure, AWS, Office 365, file storage, and print services.
- Proficient in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
- Experience with Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune.
- Experience with server virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- In-depth knowledge of firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless networks.
- Familiarity with Identity Management Systems (OKTA, etc.).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software.
- Experience with Cybersecurity tools and protocols.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure and networks to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Implement best practices to ensure system security and integrity.
- Monitor system performance, apply updates/patches, and perform preventative maintenance.
- Manage patch management, log monitoring, and troubleshooting to minimize disruptions.
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and manage escalation tickets.
- Deploy and manage hardware (PCs, laptops, printers) and virtual/physical servers.
- Handle hardware and software installations, including account setup, change management, and planned maintenance.
- Lead and participate in IT projects to implement systems, solutions, and new technologies that align with business needs.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and implement upgrades.
