Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sr. Systems Administrator to join a team in managing critical infrastructure supporting the US economy. Responsibilities include support and maintenance of Wintel / VMWare server / storage infrastructure across the environment. Primary objective is to ensure the reliability and resiliency of production systems.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and at least 10 years of experience in a distributed Windows Server environment
- Experience with VMWare virtualization technologies
- Experience with Managing Windows components (Active Directory, DNS, GPO, Microsoft clustering)
- Experience with maintaining AWS cloud technologies in an hybrid environment
- Experience with Dell backup technologies
- Experience administering, and troubleshooting software and hardware in large, mission critical, 24x7 production environments, preferably banking or similar financial institutions
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers, users, and all management levels
- Must be able to work as part of a team as well as alone with minimum supervision
Qualifications Desired
- AWS or Azure cloud experience in a hybrid environment.
- Experience with Enterprise network storage. Preferably Dell Enterprise class storage systems
- Exposure to Redhat Linux
- Working experience with infrastructure as code with Cloud computing
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Second Level production support for Microsoft Windows Server environment
- Server Contingency Testing - contribute to DR/BCP validation testing efforts
- Comply with Change Control standards
- Comply with Security and Risk controls
- Test / automate deployment of upgrades - hardware, O/S, drivers, firmware, patches, etc.
- Server Documentation/Procedural Documentation - create installation instructions for Network Operations for server modifications in the production environment
- Audit Compliance - test and implement security settings to ensure server compliance with security and audit requirements; familiarity with industry standards such as NIST, ISO, CIS, PCI, and FFIEC
