What You’ll Be Responsible For In This Role
The Senior Manager of Security is responsible for ensuring employee and visitors’ safety. Manages internal security and serves as the first line of defense for facility security operations. The position develops and implements procedures for loss prevention and for minimizing loss. The position will serve as primary strategist responsible for formulating strategic plans regarding all aspects of security and loss prevention across the organization.
- Responsible for third party security related vendor management, including optimizing performance as the overseeing contact and liaison between the security vendor and company.
- Maintain managerial oversight of all security related incident investigations, corrective actions, required documentation and corresponding communications.
- Maintains and updates the security teams' Emergency Procedures Manual as needed, including Emergency Preparedness plans for security situations which includes fires; natural disasters; bomb threats, executive protection, terrorist attacks, etc.
- Ensure that post orders are continually updated along with security policies and procedures.
- Continually assesses the site's training needs and conducts additional training sessions when and where necessary.
- Conduct periodic training sessions, lunch and learns, etc., educating employees and management on workplace violence.
- Oversees, facilitates, and monitors the activities of the security staff and contractors.
- Creates, manages, reviews, and revises all security related policies, procedures, and programs.
- Administrator for all security systems including but not limited to cameras, badging software, and facility access points.
- Proactively assist in identifying and assessing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, risks, vulnerabilities and threats.
- Oversees the thorough investigation and reporting of all security-related incidents and ensures that all matters are duly communicated to management in a timely manner.
- Works in partnership with law enforcement and other agencies on matters of safety and security as they relate to the Company.

What We’re Looking For
Required Skills and Abilities:

- Working knowledge of applicable legal and security related laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service-oriented skills.
- Ability to make complete an accurate analysis, reports, and recommendations.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences, and implement recommendations in support of targeted outcomes.
- Bilingual Spanish and English.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Police Science, or Security Management
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or related field
- Ideal candidate 7-10 years supervisory experience
- Experience conducting investigations including criminal, human resources, and/or safety incidents
- Must be able to work flexible schedules and perform operational duties in an emergency
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years management experience
- Experience in the Agriculture and Manufacturing Industry
- Experience with supply chain management software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Demands
- Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with frequent interruptions.
- Ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, climb, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
- Lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight.
- Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.
Hours & Workdays
1st Shift- 8:00am to 5:00pm; Overtime, Weekends, and Holidays may be mandatory based on business needs. Rotating workday/time off schedules may be mandatory depending on department/business needs as well.
