This Role:
LogixHealth is a technology-driven company dedicated to ensuring the security of our clients’ data. The Security Administrator role is an important part of the LogixHealth Information Security team. The team is tasked with monitoring and maintaining LogixHealth's security controls to defend data and systems against unauthorized access, modification and/or destruction. The Security Administrator proactively secures identity, user access, monitors threat and information protection, and enforces compliance by responding to alerts from security and compliance solutions for cloud and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Frontline response to investigate alert notifications generated by security and compliance tools.
- Provide timey response to tickets assigned to the department.
- Monitor, investigate, and report identity and access, threat detection, information protection, and device compliance alerts.
- Monitor server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, endpoint logs, and network traffic logs for unusual or suspicious activity.
- Investigate and interpret suspicious or unusual activity to make recommendations for resolution or escalations to senior team members.
- Perform email header analysis and research sender reputation in response to requests by users or detections by tools.
- Provide input for user training related to incidents and current security or compliance events.
- Configure and support security tools such as identity and access monitoring, advanced endpoint protection, MDM, file monitoring, application control, and SIEM.
- Vulnerability management responsibilities include configuring scans and reporting.
- Perform user activity audits based on schedule or as assigned.
- Create and update documentation for processes and procedures.
- Create reports and maintain documents required for compliance audits.
- Provide guidance and assistance to members of the team as asked or when sharing knowledge.

- Keep current with emerging security alerts, issues, and technologies.
- Maintain threat and vulnerability email subscriptions (CISA US-CERT, vendors, etc.) and follow cyber security websites and social media.

Required:
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 3 years equivalent work experience
- Experience in both cloud and on premises environments. Hybrid experience is preferred. Hands-on experience with Active Directory, endpoints, servers, networking, email, and Infrastructure components
- Working knowledge of Windows clients, Windows servers, Active Directory, networking, and PowerShell is desired for this role.
- Knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, data encryption, load balancer, and proxy server technologies is required,
- Familiarity with protocols such as TCP/IP, SFTP, TLS, SSL, NTP, HL7, HTTPS, DHCP, DNS, SMTP and IPsec.
- Working technical knowledge of current systems including IIS, Group Policies, SQL Server, programming languages (.NET, ASPNET, C#).
- Know how email flows. Ability to troubleshoot mail flow issues and research suspect messages.
- Understanding of Wireless technologies, network access control, and portable device security.
- Experience working with IT infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and networks.
- Knowledge of applicable practices and laws relating to data privacy and protection such as PCI, HIPAA, Mass 201 CMR 17 data privacy
Preferred:
- Certification s in Security+, CCC, or SSCP or other industry recognized certification are highly desirable.
