TechEquity is seeking a Vice President of Data and Technology to support our program initiatives through the collection and analysis of a variety of data sources relevant to our mission and initiatives. This is a unique opportunity for someone with technical expertise and interest in social impact to put their skills to work to build a more equitable economy for everyone.
One through line of TechEquity’s work is that access to data and information is critical to achieving an equitable tech economy. We believe that when data inequities and information asymmetries exist, they consolidate corporate power and enable the exploitation of everyday people. As we advocate for more transparency, and as we use data to enhance our campaigns and initiatives, the Vice President of Data and Technology will be responsible for holding the organization’s expertise in this area. Additionally, the Vice President of Data and Technology will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of a handful of internal tools that have been built to support our advocacy network, the Tenant Protections Rent Calculator and an upcoming Legislative Tracker.
Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the Vice President of Data and Technology will work across our housing and labor initiatives, collaborating with subject matter expert leads to develop data strategies across each of our initiatives. They will also coordinate closely with senior leadership to establish the org-wide point of view about the use of data and transparency to further our theory of change.
