We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as the Director of Maintenance and Reliability. This role will lead the development and execution of asset maintenance and reliability programs across the Our Home manufacturing network. As the Director, you will be responsible for developing a fully integrated equipment care strategy and implementing a systemic approach to maximize our production assets.
In addition, this role will develop a process and lead the sharing of maintenance best practices and create standardized reporting metrics/KPI's across the organization. You will also leverage predictive maintenance tools where applicable, ensure a robust preventive maintenance program, establish and lead FMEA teams, and ensure our plant technical staff have the training and tools necessary to optimize asset reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement world-class maintenance strategies to optimize equipment efficiency and improve equipment operating and maintenance costs across all manufacturing sites
- Accountable for multi-site plant asset reliability and asset maintenance operational excellence. This includes setting and driving strategic direction of asset reliability and maintenance for all manufacturing sites
- Develop and drive the use of key maintenance metrics across all sites
- Ensure all facilities are fully utilizing their CMMS
- Train and deploy TPM methodologies across the organization
- Build a network with site Maintenance leaders to strengthen knowledge and capability through best practice sharing and personnel training/development
- Work closely with manufacturing operations to provide technical expertise, strategic guidance, and overall coaching for success
- Drive line OEE improvements through improved execution of maintenance programs. This includes significant analysis of CMMS data
- Own development of the production asset maintenance and upkeep masterplan to ensure lowest possible asset lifecycle costs
- Collaborate with Continuous Improvement team in the development and execution of plant reliability programs
- Ensure efficient utilization of spare parts inventory across all manufacturing plants, driving network spares inventory optimization
- Perform organized maintenance site assessments across the manufacturing network and drive plans to close gaps
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a maintenance or engineering function, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of maintenance strategies, techniques, and best practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of equipment failures and develop effective solutions
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications
- Strong knowledge of TPM, RCM, LEAN and process excellence programs
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time to support projects at manufacturing plants as needed
