Senior Computer Security Systems Specialist - US Only

In this position, you will:
- Maintain systems to protect data from unauthorized users. Identify, report, and resolve security violations.
- Provide technical analysis and sustainment support for the enterprise for IA tools and applications and assist with the application of Defense-In-Depth signatures and perimeter defense controls to diminish network threats.
- Ensure system compliance with DoD RMF for DoD IT.
- Comply with Federal Information Processing Standards Publication (FIPS PUB) 140-2.
- Follow the security requirements and processes by the Department of Defense Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG) and DLA Cloud Hosting Strategy.
- Provide quality control checking for security documents, including graphics, white papers, guides, and manuals.
- Consult with technical staff on collecting and organizing information to determine the format, content, and organization of technical/security documentation.
- Provide daily supervision of, and direction to, computer security system staff.
Knowledge and skills required:
- Five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Expert on CND requirements and compliance to such requirements by using IA tools and techniques to perform compliance analysis and correlation, tracking and remediation coordination, and escalating CND non-compliance.
- The ability to employ cybersecurity capabilities and deliberate actions to respond to a CND alert or emerging situational awareness/threat.
- Protect, monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to unauthorized activity within assigned information systems and computer networks.
- Security (Cybersecurity) testing of system fixes, enhancements, and changes including assessing and validating applicable security controls and responsibilities.
- Prior Legacy AMPS or DLA experience.
- Ability to provide occasional support for after-hours database maintenance and administration activities.
- Excellent and proactive interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, team player with attention to detail.
- Ability to follow the schedule and meet deadlines.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree desired.
Certification Requirements:
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
- Must possess and maintain CNDSP/CSSP-IR certification.
- DoD Approved 8140.03 or 8570.01 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II – CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, Security+ CE
- Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570.01 IAM level III – CISM, CISSP (or Associate), CCISO
