PCS employs approximately four hundred staff members. The company is based in Berkley Heights, NJ with additional offices in New York, NY, and Schaumberg, IL. The ideal candidate will be in the metro New York area, Chicago, or near Tampa, Florida, to allow for regular in-office presence. This role is considered hybrid, offering flexibility in work arrangements but the expectation will be that an office visit will be required multiple times a week. This position reports to the Chief Information Officer.
About the Position
Private Client Select Insurance Services is seeking a seasoned IT professional to lead our project delivery initiatives. The SVP of IT Project Delivery will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects, ensuring they align with our business objectives and deliver maximum value. This role requires a deep understanding of the personal lines property & casualty insurance industry, proficiency with core systems like Duck Creek, low code platforms like Instanda, CRM tools Salesforce, data and reporting systems, and a proven track record of leading high-performing project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive project delivery strategy aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Lead and manage a high-performing project delivery team consisting of technical and non-technical employees and consultants, providing mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities to everyone around them.
- Oversee all aspects of the IT project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, developing full-scale project plans.
- Manage project resources, including budget, schedule, and personnel.
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and communicate project status to stakeholders and leading discussions to the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors on the project progress
- Implement effective change management strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure stakeholder buy-in from the on-set of the project
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in IT project management, with a strong background in business analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex IT projects within the insurance industry, with a focus on property & casualty (either commercial or personal lines).
- Deep understanding of insurance processes, including underwriting, policy administration, claims, servicing, and billing.
- Expertise in Duck Creek Billing, Salesforce, and Financial and Operational Reporting.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with insurance cloud-based systems and platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
