The IT Manager is responsible for leadership, security, operation, maintenance, and development of Blue Star Gas’ information technology and resources. Additionally, a heavy emphasis in process improvement within the organization utilizing existing technologies and creation of training content is key element of this role.
Above all, the IT Manager must demonstrate a high degree of accountability, integrity, possess superior interpersonal and customer service skills, and be adept at building strong relationships with staff at all levels of the organization.
The IT Manager reports to the Vice President and contributes to the overall strategic and tactical direction of technology as it relates to overall strategic and tactical goals for Blue Star Gas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Management of Information Technology & Systems
- Leadership and development of the information technology team, including employees, contractors, and vendors.
- Maintain and enhance security, integrity, and control of all Blue Star Gas systems.
- Operation of on-site and hosted data processing environments, including improving their cost efficiency, reliability, and resiliency.
- Development of a technology and information system strategic roadmap, and with proper resourcing and the execution of actions to achieve the strategies articulated in the roadmap.
- Recommendation of operating expense and capital expenditures to improve effectiveness and reliability of the Company’s information technology assets and resources. This includes participation in the development of the annual budget, as well as ad hoc opportunities and issues.
- Take a leadership role, working closely with Exec Team member project owners/sponsors to develop and deliver system and process improvement in all aspects of the organization through a prioritized list of process focused initiatives.
- Management of help desk/desktop and other business system resources to deliver professional, effective, and customer-focused support to all employees. This includes development and management of service levels, trouble ticketing, committed response times, and communication with employees.

2. Organizational Support
- Participation in Exec Team meetings and other management meetings as requested.
- Evaluation and execution of business strategies and projects.
- Contributing cross-functional skills and knowledge to business decisions.
- Representing and exemplifying the culture and values of Blue Star Gas to all employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
3. KPBS
- Coordinate, in conjunction with KPBS management, the development and continuing operation of SmartDrop.
- Participate in the ongoing operation and improvement of tank/meter monitors and related software tools, including evaluation and interaction with third party vendors.
4. Miscellaneous
- Occasional travel to divisions or offsite meetings is required.
- The ability to lift and install computer equipment (up to 50 pounds), cabling and miscellaneous technology items is required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years of experience in a technology leadership role is required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
