Who We’re Looking For
The TFS Data and Analytics (DnA) department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated
Global BI Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the Global Data Solutions team - to provide managed services for delivering Profitability, Business Operations, Risk, Global Treasury Solutions for Global Sales Finance Companies (SFCs) using DnA managed applications. This role partners closely with multiple customers (ranging from business partners to senior management), including DnA application owners, various auditing entities, Information Digital Services (IDS), and other business units to collaborate on SOX and Information Technology General Controls (ITGC) measures.
Reporting to the DnA Global National Manager, the person in this role will support the TFS Data & Analytics Department's objective to provide high-quality and reliable support services to the TFS enterprise and various global Toyota Sales Finance Companies.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels across the organization. Strong presentation skills are needed, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide ad hoc data analysis support for stakeholders.
- Leverage SQL/Python/R skills to acquire and organize data.
- Discover insights through data exploration, quantitative analysis, and creative problem solving.
- Develop solutions to address the opportunities uncovered within your analysis.
- Prepare profitability analytics based on consumer needs.
- Build a solid understanding of TFS data and technologies.
- Provide testing and design support and consultation for assigned projects.
- Works with TFS business partners to identify and document the financial data requirements and reporting metrics.
- Leverage relationships with DnA factories, various business and EDM entities, Information Digital Services (IDS), Legal, Enterprise Compliance, Information Security, and business units to collaborate on requirements and processes impacting models, management, reporting priorities, and efficiencies.
- Cultivate, build, strengthen, and maintain relationships as this team is the enterprise liaison to all other DnA and IDS factories, EDM, and enterprise business units within TFS, for Global SFCs to effectively communicate the requirements during daily interactions and to facilitate, deliver, and enhance the daily, monthly, and quarterly profitability and asset management.
- Work collaboratively and communicate with team members across the organization, manage multiple priorities, and interact with/influence various cross-functional groups.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, Engineering, Analytics, or similar quantitative STEM field.
- Relevant professional work experience (paid, non-academic, non-intern).
- High proficiency and professional experience coding in SQL, Python and/or R (tested during interviews).
- High proficiency and professional experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau.
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau & OBIEE.
- High proficiency and professional experience with data acquisition, data manipulation, data cleaning.
- High proficiency and professional experience identifying trends and indicators through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Proficiency with statistics and predictive modelling techniques.
- Significant hands-on technical/analytical work experience relevant to this position, such as data modeling, data analysis, data warehouse engineering, and creating data pipelines.
- Strong knowledge and experience in database technologies such as Netezza, Redshift, Snowflake, SQL Server, etc.
- Basic working knowledge of accounting processes, journal postings, balance sheets, and income statement reporting.
- Basic working knowledge of financial analytics, planning, budgeting, and cost allocations for margin/profitability analysis.
- Comfort with presenting ideas virtually or in-person to audiences of various sizes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others as well as work independently while in a hybrid work environment.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with Agile Methodologies.
Added bonus if you have
- Advanced degree specifically in Computer Science, Finance, or Information Systems.
- Banking or financial services industry experience.
- Familiarity with Web Authentication products (i.e., Centrify, Okta).
- Working knowledge of deployment/configuration of connector server clients to enable SSO and MFA to multiple AD domains.
