Job title: Citrix Systems Engineer
Duration: Initial contract until end of 2025, but very likely to extend for an additional 1-2 years
Location- Hybrid-Remote
- First month onsite for training, then will move to 1-3 days onsite thereafter (days onsite is negotiable)
Schedule: 8-5 CST, with some evenings and/or weekends for major go-lives (only happens 2-3 times a month).
Start date: Early-Mid October
Pay Rate: 50- 53 per hour
Must haves:
- 3+ years of Systems Admin experience that consists of:
- Experience installing/setting up, troubleshooting, updating, and maintaining applications on servers specific to Vmware, vSphere, XenApp, and Virtual Desktop (XenDesktop)
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory
- Ability to create/customize policies based on different applications
- Strong knowledge and working experience with Citrix
- Ability to pass a drug screening including Marijuana and stay up to date on flu vaccines (Covid vaccine NOT required)
- Comfortable working outside normal working hours on occasion for support of go-lives

Day to day:
The Citrix Systems Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of our virtualized environments, primarily focusing on VMware, vSphere, XenDesktop, and XenApp. This role will involve 90% system administration tasks and 10% Citrix-specific administration. This will primarily be day to day support work with a mix of project work as Liberty merges with University of Kansas Health System.
System Administration (90%):
- VMware & vSphere Management: Install, configure, and maintain VMware and vSphere environments.
- XenDesktop & XenApp Administration: Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot XenDesktop and XenApp environments.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal operation.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect virtual environments.
- Backup & Recovery: Ensure regular backups and develop disaster recovery plans.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
Citrix Administration (10%):
- User Management: Manage user access and permissions within Citrix environments.
- Application Deployment: Deploy and manage applications within Citrix environments.
- Support: Provide support for Citrix-related issues and assist users with Citrix applications.
