Position Overview: Provide on-site IT support in a Manufacturing Facility, addressing a wide range of IT-related tasks and aligning them with business unit objectives. This position will handle basic and intermediate-level requests for IT devices, applications, and network infrastructure. A high level of creativity and problem-solving ability is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide desktop, application, and computer room operations support.
- Perform on-site troubleshooting and configuration of network devices, including routers and switches.
- Manage infrastructure support, including wiring and port configurations.
- Collaborate closely with employees and contractors to resolve IT issues.
- Work on tasks related to a full network and wireless refresh project within the next 6 months.
- Support operations by assisting with applications, desktop setup, and other technical tasks.
Work Environment:
- On-site in a manufacturing facility, supporting the assembly of vehicles such as the XT4 and Malibu.
- Interaction with the team and employees will be frequent, including customer calls and direct support.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Rotating shifts between first and second shifts.
- Possibility of contract extension or direct hire.
Key Projects:
- Support for a significant product launch in the coming months.
- Contribute to a 100% network and wireless access point (AP) refresh.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Degree in IT or related fields.
- Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in IT support within manufacturing or warehouse environments.
- Technologies:
- 2+ years of experience with Cisco networking, routers, and switches.
- Experience working in large-scale environments (manufacturing/warehouse preferred).
- Additional Skills: Knowledge of basic desktop support, label work, and application troubleshooting.
